A turbine flow meter is used for measuring the rate of flow of a fluid through a given cross sectional area. The principle of working is very easy. The pipe through which the fluid propagates is fitted with a turbine, slightly smaller in diameter than the bore of the pipe, thus minimizing the friction which might be caused otherwise. The turbine meter can work only in cases where the flow is streamlined. As such, in most cases, a streamliner is used to do this. But what this results in is the point that the rate of flow might be reduced. As such, the frequency of the generated voltage might be highly reduced.
